History
The Law School originated with the teaching of law at the Scottish College of Commerce. In 1964, the Royal College of Science and Technology, Glasgow and the Scottish College of Commerce amalgamated to form the University of Strathclyde and a Department of Law was established. In December 1970, a change of title from the Department of Law to the Law School was approved by Senate.
